How does the EQRELE work?

EQRELE is an electronic seismic switch, designed to guarantee the safety of critical systems in the event of earthquakes. With continuous monitoring technology on three orthogonal axes, it detects accelerations in real-time and automatically acts through an internal relay. This mechanism allows elevators or other essential equipment to be stopped according to specific project criteria or regulations such as NCh 3362 in Chile, E070 and E030 in Peru, NTC 2769 in Colombia, and ASME A17.1 in the USA and Canada.

 

Built with high-resistance materials, the switch has an ABS plastic box with IP65 protection, external anchors, and electrical autonomy of more than six hours thanks to its rechargeable battery. Its robust design makes it resistant to extreme conditions and facilitates its installation and maintenance without opening the equipment. The integrated OLED display and LEDs allow for clear and accessible observation of system status, while its remote control capability via pushbuttons up to 15 meters away expands its functionality. In addition, its easy-access connections ensure efficient integration with any infrastructure, without requiring specialized wiring.
