By 5 junio, 2024Destacado

The next Interlift is in full preparation. Its new edition will take place from October 14 to 17, 2025, and will be at its new location in Nuremberg, more precisely at the fairgrounds of that city.

The VFA-Interlift e.V. is a professional partner of the fair, and the organizer AFAG remains responsible for the event.

In 2023, Interlift brought together more than 500 exhibitors who presented their innovations and products to around 18,000 visitors from all over the world. For many experts, associations, and companies, Interlift has been the only sector fair they visited last year.

The VFA – Interlift Association, representing elevators and the event organizer, AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen, jointly decided to change the location of the fair, after consultation with the Advisory Board.

While the show was still running, in 2023, more than 120 exhibitors signed up for the next event; In December the number of registered exhibitors already reached 150, and currently, that figure has already been easily surpassed.

AFAG representative Joachim Kalsdorf was satisfied with the entries received so far and, given his upcoming retirement, will take over the organization of the Nuremberg fair together with his successor Michael Löffler.

“This decision has not been easy for us. Augsburg has been a committed and competent partner of Interlift since 1991. With the move to Nuremberg, we set the course for the further development of the fair. We are already looking forward to welcoming Elevator World 2025 in Nuremberg, with the proven concept, yet with new potential,” said Achim Hütter, President of VFA-Interlift e.V.

Within the framework of the VFA Forum, the SBS Lift Forum 2023 was held for the first time on October 17, attended by Luca Incoronato and Paolo Tattoli together with Massimo Bezzi (EFESME), Andrea Raffaelli (SBS) and Esfandiar Gharibaan (CEN TC 10).

The Forum debated the role of European SMEs in elevators in the standardization processes, the impact of the new machinery regulations in the elevator sector, EN 81 – 41 and EN 81- 42. In 2025, this Forum will return with more news on small and medium-sized companies.

Augsburg completed a cycle

For more than 30 years, Augsburg offered Interlift a perfect environment and set the course for the continued development of the event. With its infrastructure, the Augsburg Exhibition Center helped Interlift become the world’s leading fair and allowed exhibitors to show their elaborate presentations and innovations in the elevator sector.

The exhibition site of Augsburg and the Free State of Bavaria has always encouraged the development of international trade fairs, which is why both the VFA-Interlift and the organizing company AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen GmbH ensured that Interlift remained in Bavaria.

Now the appointment is in Nuremberg

Messe Nürnberg is one of the most important trade fairs in the world and offers an ideal infrastructure for exhibitors and visitors. The Interlift 2025 is located in halls 1 to 5 and is connected to the two large entrance areas and the congress centers NCC Ost and NCC Mitte, which with numerous rooms and lounges offer a wide range of possibilities for conferences, meetings, and support events.

The mayor of Nuremberg, Marcus König, welcomed the fact that Interlift will be held in Nuremberg in the future: “This is a reinforcement of Nuremberg as an exhibition venue. With Interlift comes to us a world-leading trade fair that fits well into the portfolio and business location. “The Nürnberg Messe is an important economic factor for the city and the region.”

The Nuremberg Exhibition Center is very easy to reach by car and by train or via the international airport. From Nuremberg Airport, you can reach the exhibition center in 25 minutes by underground and from the main railway station in just eight minutes. The wide hotel offer in the city of Nuremberg and the surrounding area, well connected, guarantees the availability of enough hotel beds even during fair times.

AFAG managers Henning and Thilo Könicke see good opportunities for the future development of interlift in Nuremberg: “Interlift has grown in Augsburg. Both the Augsburg exhibition center and the city and district have been a good home for Interlift for many years and have welcomed visitors from all over the world with open arms. The sector has felt at home here, but the move has become necessary to satisfy increasing demand. It is important to us that Interlift maintains

Its headquarters in Bavaria, also to continue guaranteeing proximity to the many exhibitors and visitors from southern Europe.”
