The New President Of FACARA

By 11 abril, 2022Destacado

Since November 2021, when Leonardo Diletto resigned from directing the entity, the accountant Pablo Amante assumed the presidency of FACARA since, byline of succession, is La Plata’s Chamber, of which he is president, who should occupy with one of his members the highest position in the Federation.

Born and raised in La Plata, Amante studied at its University, graduating first as an electromechanical technician and later as an accountant. There he also made his professional career holding administrative positions in public hospitals and private clinics, specializing in health economics, and later turning to bankruptcies and bankruptcy issues in partnership with a colleague, with which he achieved significant growth.

Before continuing with his career, it should be noted that his family has been the owner of Ascensores Excelsior for 74 years, a company in the city of La Plata that was founded by his grandfather, who in turn had started the activity in Universal elevators.

In 1997, Pablo Amante began to collaborate with his father, going a few times a week on a part-time basis to help him, without any remuneration. And in 2000, when health problems jeopardized the proper functioning of the company, he resigned from the organization where he worked with great success, to take full charge of the management of Ascensores Excelsior, which he held jointly with his father until his death. him in 2019.

Today we find Pablo Amante directing an SME with twenty employees that maintains and preserves some 400 elevators and also exercising the presidency of the Chamber of Elevators of La Plata in his second term.

“Gradually FACARA is starting to pick up the pace it lost during the pandemic. In that period, Amante” says; Leonardo Diletto managed to organize the participation of the members by making good use of the zoom meetings, which have the advantage of organizing the contributions of each one by having to speak in a stipulated order. At the end of his administration, the new president of FACARA highlights, “Diletto had two important achievements, which were the return of the Chamber of Córdoba and the CAA to the heart of the Federation, which is no small thing.”

HIS THOUGHT

He seems conciliatory. His greatest aspiration is, as he says, that “we all sit at the same table, that we all feel called together and that the Federation is everyone’s home, where no one is better than the other”.

“One of the things not to do is create divisions or issues that affect credibility, and people sit side by side with each other. I will always try to have a cordial treatment.

I think there are no enemies, but only pitfalls, and complications. Our problems are the State, the banks, government policies, the AFIP and fiscal voracity, corruption, the lawsuit industry, the deficiency of insurance coverage, no access to credit, the non-existence of a market for capital, a lot of things, that for now, we cannot modify, we have almost no influence on that. The only thing we can do is get together among people to try, at some point, to achieve an improvement in this or that; to support or help us in this or that. It is not my enemy who takes me out of an elevator; of course, I don’t like missing an elevator, but I wouldn’t be able to hurt someone who took an elevator from me. You have to work so that there are no accidents and help the one who had it and correct based on that. And also raise the bar so that the service has the costs it should have.”

ITS GOALS

The Federation has a new headquarters in an office in Paraná and Tucumán, in CABA. The pandemic has reduced the income of the entity, among other things, because in that period the Conference and the Elevator Day celebrations could not be carried out, which are an important source of income for several of the efforts carried out by FACARA.

Even so, Pablo Amante is emphatic when he maintains that “what needs to be done, the issue that obsesses me, and I place myself as the first person in need, is the issue of TRAINING. All the money that we can raise with the contribution of the partners and even other resources that we have, should preferably be allocated to training and maintaining it permanently. And also have a program and follow-up of it. Training is the axis that can save us at the individual and group level. We have to learn the new things that are coming and for this, we need to train ourselves”.

Another issue that is of great interest to him is that of Human Resources and their management, communication with people, both within the company and towards the media and Public Opinion. Precisely in La Plata, they have the help of a social communication specialist who trains them in the what and how of communication.

ACTIVITIES

At this moment Pablo Amante is behind a cooperation agreement between the Chamber of La Plata and the University of La Plata.” It is an agreement of mutual adherence, of participation. That is going to give FACARA content, he maintains. We held a zoom meeting with the Chambers of the interior, to work together”. The Vertical Transport Law is always under analysis, to treat it again and for that we are continuously analyzing it. We also intend that the Ordinances reach the entire country and that they can be updated automatically when the regulations change, without having the need to deal with them again”.

Everything that Amante communicated to us from his new position as President of FACARA is the need to achieve goals in a consensual manner. He defines himself as someone who does not form cliques or think beyond appearances. When someone brings him a good idea, a solution, he says, he does not think about what is being brought or if it responds to a personal interest, but rather how much good it can bring.

When the unexpected vacancy of the position occurred at the end of 2021 and because he was in charge of the Chamber of La Plata, successor to the position, he consulted with the members if there was someone who really wanted to serve as president of FACARA or felt more qualified For the homework. Unanimously everyone agreed that Pablo Amante was the right person for it. And so it will be until the end of his term.
